CYBER MODEL CAR CONTEST
1955 Chevrolet Convertible Pace Car
Builder:  William Goldbach
This R-M 1/25 '55 Chevy Pace Car features MRC Cragar S/S wheels, photoetched details, hot rodded 327 Corvette engine & glasspacks.  Bill says, "I mixed Testors German Silver with a little blue to get the custom color, the rest is plain old Classic Black and the bumpers were re-chromed by Chrome-Tech USA."
To vote for William's 1955 Chevrolet, vote for entry #1.
1966 Buick Skylark "Modified Stocker"
Builder:  William Goldbach
William built this from AMT's '66 Buick Skylark "Modified Stocker" kit.  He painted the body with Testors AlumaCoupe Yellow and a red he mixed to match the SAE numbers.  William also added some homemade decals that he printed on an Alps printer along with lots of parts-box details and cutting open the kit grill, bumper and hood scoops.

To vote for William's '66 Buick Skylark "Modified Stocker",
vote for entry #2.
Winged Express Drag Racer
Builder:  David Young
To vote for Dave Young's "Winged Express", vote for entry #3.
Dave says, "This model was fairly easy to build", but it did have some things that were a "bit tricky, but doable".  These included the tie rods, steering and mounting the stanchions on the wing.  Dave started with a gold base coat on the body, then sprayed the candy red and clear coats.  The wing, interior panels and belly pan were shot with Testors Aluminum Metalizer and then buffed.  Testors Metalizer paints were used extensively, including the little trick he learned from Dave McGowan of applying Testors Jet Exhaust over a flat black base coat on the front wheels.  Dave added many details including a fuel line from the tank to the injectors, injector lines, plug wires and applying Matte Aluminum Bare Metal Foil to the firewall and then buffed it slightly.
